To ensure that your home looks good during the selling process there are several maintenance tasks that will help make this come true. One task is to keep your garden in good shape. This can be done by raking leaves, getting rid of dead tree limbs and cleaning out flower beds. Overall, the goal is to make sure your home exhibit that awe factor at first sight.

Check The Gutters

Another task related to curb appeal but often overlooked is cleaning the gutters. Make sure you clean the gutters and take a good look at the roof. Gutters that are packed with leaves, small branches, and other items can damage your foundation, cause drainage issues, and it looks awful to potential buyers.

While cleaning out the gutters, take a good look at the state of the roof as well. Check to see if there are any cracks. Roof cracks can cause water to seep into your home and cause damage to the ceilings and walls.

Remove personalized items such as pictures of your family. This will allow the buyer to imagine the space as their own home and not the home of a total stranger. This would also include homework assignments from the kids, toys, movies or video games, photos etc...
